Shayna again!

It's time to update about Shayna again. My precious niece.

Take no 1:
*My P-R-E-C-I-O-U-S! (from the Lord of the Rings)* Wait, that's sounds so scary. That image doesn't fit. Cut!

Take no 2: *S is for Shayna, and Shayna is for me, CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH!!! (Cookie monster song)* What?!? Shayna's not a cookie, it would be scary to eat her up! Cut again!

Take no 3: *This is the song, Lalalala, Shayna song! (Elmo song)* Sounds ok, but it can also be...

Take no 4: *La-la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la (from Smurfs), This is my precious niece, her name is Shayna...* Sounds good...

The above commercial breaks are really lame. If you laugh, welcome to Lamers' Club.

Ok, back to Shayna. I took more photos of her. Can't help it. She's just too cute. The camera loves her. Check out her cheeks. It's getting fuller!

This shot is taken 1 month after birth. Cute leh...

This photo below is one of my fav shots too, taken just after her birth. Her classic facial expression.

New pet

Yeah, got a new fish tank on Sun! A friend passed me a fish tank, complete set up with live fishes!!!! So exciting!!!! There are 4 types of fishes now, namely my favourite neon tetras, cardinal tetras, gourami and Kuhli Loach. So nice!

I have always felt that it's very nice giving people fishes because it's a unique gift. It takes great effort to set up a tank and carefully choose the right kind of fishes that the receiver would like. For the recipient, it would also take great effort to care for the fishes in appreciation of the "live" gift. And definitely bonding would take place as both parties discuss about the new pet. So nice!

Haven't seen fishes at home for 20 years (apart from those on dining table). So nostalgic, brings back sweet memories of me overfeeding my goldfishes and they died, haha. Else, they died of hunger cos I didnt feed them, haha. Ok, I own up. I have bad record. *Latest update: 1 tetra died this morning, so fast*

Ever since all the hamsters died and i even gave the cage away (together with my imaginary hamsters - OnLeave and OnMC), it's so boring at home without live animals. Now, there's a new pet to entertain me! It's so relaxing looking at the fishes.

Ok, I think I am going to have lotsa fun.

Welcome Shayna!

My niece was born on 9 Dec 2006. She's so adorable, she's irresistable!
She just turned 1 month and now she starts to smile a lot more. When she smiles, her cheeks are like 2 little buns. She has also started playing with her tongue. Her cries are pretty loud though.

Probably taken on 11 Dec. Nice soft hair!

Taken on 17 Dec. Yawning....Babies sleep a lot.... In the arms of her grandma...

Taken on Christmas day! Cutie Cutie! So chubby and nice eyes!

Selamat Hari Raya

Happy New Year! Haven't been blogging for a long while. 2006 has been a wonderful year. Every year just gets better, depending on how you view it. Some of the things I want to thank God for:

1. Salvation of my grandma.
Thank God for the salvation of my grandma before she passed away on 1 Oct at age 90. Isn't God so gracious to give her such a long life, so that she has sufficient time to accept Jesus into her life. Before she left, she saw Jesus and then accepted Jesus into her life. Hallelujah!

2. Birth of my niece Shayna.
Beautiful niece. She's just so adorable. Photocopy of my brother. I'm sure she will grow up to be a babe. My brother will have a hard time chasing the flies away.

3. Driving licence finally!
Yeah, it was a miraculous pass with 18 points with 3 tries! Haha...thank God thank God. Wouldn't have made it without Him.

4. Birthday in Winter.
First time experiencing winter, and first time celebrating my birthday in Shanghai. Thanks everyone for well wishes and birthday gifts. I like it a lot. Tell you people a joke: I wear leather gloves to sleep cos it's too cold!

5. First baptism of PRC.
We are called to serve the nations. Amen!

And many many more thanksgiving to God for a wonderful year in 2006. Looking forward to a Year of Victory.
