Levites
I was given a privilege to serve in the church choir yesterday. It was really FUN FUN FUN. First time on stage, performing as a Levite. The experience is difficult to pen down in words. The experience I had was different from the impression I had painted prior to serving. I learnt some new things. Firstly, the job of a levite is to worship God. The vertical relationship with God has to established first. Secondly a levite has the responsbility to engage the congregation to worship God, and that's a horizontal relationship. And because of this responsibility, a levite needs to worship God in a higher standard so that the congregation will be engaged in the worship of a certain intimacy. And that's what makes serving the choir "not as easy as you think". Imagine clapping hands, jumping continuously for 15 minutes and lifting up hands for another 10 minutes is really no joke. But well, the Lord deserves it.And the whole experience is really like an aerobic class. This is what I call a "holy exercise". And that's really a good workout. After all we are a holy temple of God and we need to maintain it well. No more excuses for not exercising. Just a side joke, after this month, I hope to wave and clap my flappy arms away. Now you see it, now you dont.
Now, my calves are hurting and screaming in pain where my muscles are flooded with lactic acid. God, please dont let me have any difficulty walking down the stairs tomorrow. I remember during G12, I danced so much my calfs were in pain for 3 days. And for that 3 days, I had to hold onto a railing while I walked down the stairs. Not too glam.
