Maiden post - Interesting insights of my driving lessons

Ever since I created this blog in 2005, I have been procrastinating to write something here. Finally, I have decided to pen some of my thoughts here. Let me start by sighting some interesting driving lessons I have.

I have started learning driving a few months back. From a friend's recommendation, I started taking lessons from Mr X. Mr X is a very jovial instructor. I remember in his car for the first lesson, he said,"I have a voice like a loud speaker at volumer 42 when I talk, and that doesn't mean I am scolding you." I really do enjoy his lessons because he brings out jokes even at my serious mistakes. Those are memories to laugh about.

Now, every lesson, he calls me Osama's disciple and the future road killer. Why? Simply cos I'm really a reckless female driver, who speeds. He says,"You look like you are driving an MRT. Only know how to start and speed up and stop, dont know how to slow down. Why? Your feet stuck to the accelerator? Got super glue is it?"

I have another common mistake and that is I often drive on double lane. And jovial Mr X will again say something really funny. He will say "Yesterday you topped up my road tax is it? Can drive on double lane one meh?"

Whenever I do a wide turn and turn into the wrong lane, he will say"Are you driving a truck, that you need such a WIDE turn?"

The funniest thing that happened was a dialogue that goes like this:
Me: Mr X, can I book a driving lesson?
Mr X: Can, when you want?
M: This date can?
X: Cannot lah, this week fully booked
M: You told me can?
X: I told you next week can lah, 丑小鸭
M: This sun can?
X: This sun cannot, I need to go pak toh with my wife
M: Ok, tonight can?
X: Cannot lah, 猪奶奶
X: Aiya, just for you only, this sun lah.
M: Thought you say you want to go pak toh?
X: You are my special student, I go tell my 老婆大人 this week cannot go pak toh. Next week then go.
